Did you know that skin experiencing breakouts, congestion and acne suffer from fast cell turnover and fast oil flow? Fast cell turnover and fast oil flow means that they are producing too quickly. Usually fast is best, but that’s definitely not the case when it comes to the skin, as the cells and oil build up on the surface of the skin.
Fast cell turnover is caused by an abnormality in the way our skin cells turn over, where cells don’t come away they are meant too and stick to the skin building up inside the hair follicles. The fast oil flow starts to become thick and sticky and the mixture of dead skin and oil then leads to congestion – which causes the beginning of the pesky acne cycle.
All skins contain a type of bacteria called P Acne, which lives within the hair follicles. Unfortunately, acne skins contain an excessive amount as this bacterium thrives in an environment where there is no oxygen. Due to the excessive dead skin build-up on the surface of the skin, the hair follicles become clogged and the P Acne bacteria has a big party within the skin.
So, what can be done? The good news is that there is a solution for this!
Along with you daily routine to assist with lifting off and regulating your skin cells we recommend an at home skin treatment every three days, exfoliating with an exfoliant followed by a deep cleansing and inflammation-reducing Masque. A daily dose of topical Vitamin A will help regulate acne, congestion, and breakouts.
Taking Omegas daily will ensure the oil is viscous, so it can freely move up onto the surface of the skin rather than lingering in its thick and cheesy form (I know – eww), which leads to further clogging in the hair follicles. Also, it increases hydration, reducing inflammation, and encourages skin healing… all while helping to rebalance oily, congested skin.
