Recently I sat down with Helen, our beloved cosmetic nurse who has been making waves in the industry for over 26 years. 

Nat: Helen, tell us a bit about your journey into cosmetic nursing.

Helen: Well, my journey started in 1998 on Harley Street in London. It was such an exciting time, with lasers just coming into the scene and cosmetic injecting taking off. Fast forward to 2003, I returned to Australia and continued my passion in a cosmetic surgery.

N: Wow, that’s quite a journey, and now we’re lucky enough to have you here with us! Let’s talk about your specialty – what types of injectables do you work with at the clinic?

H: I work with a variety – anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, bioremodelers, and skin boosters. It’s all about improving skin elasticity and hydration!

N: With the industry evolving so much, how do you stay up to date with the latest advancements?

H: I attend at least three conferences a year and engage in hands-on training. Plus, as a registered nurse, I have to earn CPD points annually to maintain my registration. It’s important to me to stay on top of the education and the trends.

N: Our clients absolutely adore you, Helen! What do you think sets you apart as a cosmetic injector?

H: Oh, that’s so lovely to hear! I think it’s about connecting personally and professionally with my patients. Being down-to-earth and genuinely interested in giving the best outcomes, and even working within their budgets.
