The Excel V+ offers 2 different styles of treatments. Laser Genesis and Pigment & Vascular treatment.
Laser Genesis is a non-invasive and comfortable procedure that uses a laser to gently heat the skin – It will help smooth the skin and reduce the look of fine lines, redness and wrinkles. Unlike traditional laser, this new age treatment is not painful – rather total skin rejuvenation while you drift off to sleepytown.
Laser Genesis works by penetrating the skin’s surface and gently heating the upper dermis where collagen lives. The heat stimulates the collagen to regenerate and improves the skin’s quality from within. Laser genesis works for people of all ages and skin tones who want clear and glowing skin, or want to reduce the appearance of fine lines and redness.
With the pigmentation and vascular treatments, you can target any unwanted areas of redness, broken capillaries and brown spots. To put it simply, anything red, brown or purple! As these vessels or pigment cells are targeted, they are eliminated and your skin is returned to it’s natural colour and tone. Excel V + treatments can be altered to be compatible with each clients skin condition which is why this new treatment is so incredibly exciting!
Treatments can feel similar to a quick warm flicking sensation. Depending on the procedure, a cooled treatment tip will be in contact with the skin to protect and provide additional comfort to the area.
The treatments are comfortable and fast, with most treatments performed in under 10 minutes. Depending on the area(s) and concerns being treated, some treatments may take up to 30 minutes (that’s a lot of napping potential ?
Here’s the best part! With Laser Genesis there is little to none. With Pigment and Vascular Treatment redness and/or swelling can be expected following treatment. For full face treatments, swelling will peak 24 to 48 hours post-treatment and usually resolves within a few days.
When having a pigmentation treatment, brown spots will darken following the treatment and appear with a milo-like crusting on the surface. These will exfoliate away on their own within 3-5 days, so no picking allowed!
The best part is you can wear make-up and return to most activities immediately. We recommend avoiding saunas, excessive sweating and exercise for 48 hours. An excuse to skip the gym for a couple of days.
